Happy Tuesday!!!

My week has just started and already it feels like it's taking forever!!! But at least I was able to get some scrapping done!

Here a few cards that I got done for some challenges.

This Christmas card was made for Charisma Cardz (http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/) This week they wanted something Clean and Simple. It really is much prettier in real life. The blue is much darker and the sticker much clearer.

I love how this one turned out!!! I just discovered this challenge blog called Sunday sketch and Stamp (http://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.com/) I love the sketches they have there.
This card is also for the following challenges: La-La Land Crafts ( http://lalalandcrafts.blogspot.com/) where they wanted us to use our favorite things (I used two of them my copics and my Spelldinders).
Fab "N" Funky (http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/) Where we got to play Bingo! I chose the three following items: 2 patterned papers, lace or trim, Butterflies.
And this one was also for Mo's challenge blog (http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/) But I forgot to use one of her stamps! Can you see my red face!!!

And here is my last card for tonight. Yes another one of my Precious Moments! This one was coloured with my Prisma pencil crayons and some mineral oil. I used the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday (http://sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.com/)

Well I guess that is all for now. Sorry for such a long post. I will try to keep it shorter next time!
Hope you come by tomorrow. I will show a sweet little treat box for Valentine's day!

Scrapbook Star Blog!

Well the time has finally come to say goodbye to the forum at Scrapbook Star! I am so saddened by this turn or events. I have had the privilege of meeting some very nice, creative and interesting people there. But while saying goodbye to the forum, we are saying welcome to our new blog, and today is my first posting on there. Please sure to drop by and check out what the DT has been creating for you!  (http://www.scrapbookstar.blogspot.com/)

Here is the card that will be posted there.

I coloured this sweet little Tilda and didn't even bother looking at the colours of my papers first. I tell you, sometimes that really isn't the way to go about it! LOL! It took some time to find the right colour paper for this one. But I like how it turned out! The PP are from Basic Grey and the little medallion was from one of our older kits at www.scrapbookstar.ca.

I think this might be a record for me! LOL! One of my scrappy resolutions this year, is to make at least 2 cards a week. One Christmas themed and the other whatever tickles my fancy. Well here is the latest card I have made. I used all my old Patterned Paper's for this one. I am trying to use my scraps.

Here are the challenges that I am entering:

Wow! Christmas has come and gone!

I have to admit this year it was really hard to get into the Christmas spirit! I think the lack of snow was a major contributor. So how was your Christmas? Ours was good. Santa came and spoiled the kids again! Here are some photos of the big day!

Our tree all lit up! I know the photo looks a little warped, it's because we were playing with the ISO on the camera. I have a point and shoot, but can put it in manual mode and I thought it would be fun to play with it! I like the effect I got, I just need to get a tripod!

Anize was so happy when she got this ornament. It has her favorite dog on it, a German Shepard!

Jared was so excited when he opened up the X-box Kinect! Here is explaining to Anize what it is. Once she realised what it was, she got a huge smile on her face too! They love it. They even brought it up to Pembroke, where the grand-parents and their uncle tried it out! I think we are going to have a lot of fun with this gift!!!

Another picture where I was playing with the ISO on the camera. I love this shot!

Jared had his annual Christmas concert at school again this year. He did a really good job of it! They played quite a few songs. I think this is the first time he was actually excited about doing a concert!

I haven't had much time lately to be creative in my scrap room. But I did manage to get some cards done, here is one the bunch that I made.

I just wanted to share a few Layouts that I have made this week. I love being off! I get to clean the house and take some me time to be creative!

Here is one last layout for 2011. Anize has started to write stories. She has written at least 10 different little stories. They are cute. Now I just need to convince her to let me have one so I can put it away with this layout!

Happy New year to everyone! I hope that 2012 is good to you and your family!
