Just a quick little post today! With the Olympics going on I have found myself glued to the TV, my kids have been forced to fend for themselves while I was captivated by all those amazing athletes. Have you been watching?

Well with me being glued to the TV, it seems that I was late in getting some of my others duties done (besides feeding the kids..... thank goodness they are old enough to sort of take care of themselves. LOL)

So here is what I have made for the new challenge over at Fab'n'Funky. We were asked to use some Rhinestones or Pearls on our project this week.

I have this rhinestone title for years, and have been wanting to use it on something, but kept putting it aside. Well this week I pulled it out, coloured it to match my card with my Copics and voila! The image is from Magnolia and made it in 3D.

Summer Flowers

This week over at Fab'n'Funky we are making our own flowers! When I was first told of this challenge I groaned and thought great. I don't make flowers!!! But then I kicked myself in the "keester" and went on line to find soooooo many turtorials. I chose to try to make a flower with different shaped hearts. I like how it turned out. However I think that I might use a different shaped heart next time and see how that turns out!

Princess cake

My girlfriend asked me to make a Princess cake for her daughter's 4th birthday. Her daughter was very specifique with wich Princess it had to be, the colour of the dress and the type of cake.

Well here it is, Princess Aurora, dressed in pink with a flowy gown, and white cake! LOL!

The pink part of the dress did not turn out quite like I would have liked, I was hoping to have it flow a little more in the front and be a little more "billowy" (if that is a word LOL) but it was crazy hot and humid here and the fondant really wasn't very coperative. So made due with what I could get! 

I hand drew some little details on the bottom of the dress with my sprakle dust and some lemon juice.

Well both my girlfriend and her daughter loved it, so I guess that is all that counts!

That's right I made a card for the boys this week! I tend to forget about the boys, with all the pretty patterned paper, ribbons and flowers out there.  I mean really can you blame me?!?! LOL

Going on a summer holiday!

My summer Holidays last all summer long. Normally I really enjoy it, but this year for some reason, I am really missing work, and can't wait to get back! Is that strange?

I had the chance to work with the stamp called Fairy and Mushrooms, I loved working with this stamp and I know that I will be using it again and again! Now I know you might be thinking how is this related to "going on summer holiday". Well let me tell you a little tale about a young girl who read a story about two little girls who had been out in the forest and found some fairies. These two little girls were able to get photos of the fairies as they danced around the forest. I was told this was a true story (sadly I found out years later it was all a hoax), so every summer we would go out looking for fairies. This was how I spent a good part of my summer holidays. So naturally when I found out our theme this week and saw this stamp, I knew what I was going to do!

I chose to make an easel card this time.

 Here is close up of the image! I used some glossy accents on her wings to give them some shine. (Next time I think I will use some glitter)

Designer paper are from Kaiser which can be purchased HERE along with the black ribbon and flowers. The flowers are from Recollection and Prima. And the flower boarder on the bottom are from the Dollar Store.

Stirpes and Stars

I am Canadian, not American, so that is why my card for this weeks challenge is not made in the traditional Blue, Red and White that you would expect when you see the title.
