So what are you waiting for? Head on over and put your name into the draw!!!!
(But don't forget to take a look at my card for this week first!!! LOL)

Now onto my creation for this week!

This week our lovely Ginny has chosen the theme of  "Love is a splendid thing" and our wonderful sponsor for this week is Floppy Latte.

Here is what I came up with.

I used an image from Kenny K with my sentiment from Floppy Latte! I thought this cheeky looking sentiment well with the image. I tride a new technique for me this week as well. I made a mask of my image and then stamped the background to creat a wall. I really like this effect. I think now I need to get me some more background stamps! LOL

Crazy Weather once again!!!!

Good morning everyone! Did you have some crazy weather last week? We sure did!!  On Thursday the weather man was announcing one very nasty and brutal ice storm, therefore all our school buses were canceled. But Alas nothing came of the storm...................Until late that evening! After listening to the ice/rain and the very strong wind hit our windows all night, this is what we woke up to!

My windows are not normally frosted! LOL!

Outside was rather pretty but hectic. Even though the school buses were cancelled for a second day, I still had to be present at school.
Jeff went out to clean off the van and had to literally CHISEL off the ice! The ice was at least 1/2 an inch thick!

Our ice covered trees.

My mummified van.

Our frozen porch lamp.

But with all this ice, it gave me a little more time to stay indoors and play with some stamps from our new Sponsor over at Fab'n'Funky.

This week it is my turn to host the Challenge, and I have chosen the popular 1,2,3, Challenge.
That's right! 1 image, 2 Designer Papers and 3 Embellies.

Here is what I came up with:
As you can see, I have one image "Lili with Berries" from Inky Impressions, Two DP's (Basic Grey "Lemonade") and my three embellies are the little cherries on the side.

Here is a close up of the image. Coloured with my Copics.

I would love to hear what you think, and how your week was!

Please don't forget to visit us at Fab'n'Funky. Come see what my team mates have made for you, and leave us link to your wonderful creations for a chance to win some wonderful prizes!

Have a great day!

April showers..............bring us snow?

Good morning everyone! It's Wednesday and that means a brand new Challenge over at Fab'n'Funky. This weeks challenge is April Showers. I know normally the saying goes "April Showers bring May flowers" but for some reason our Spring season has turned to winter! We are now into day three of blistery weather with high winds, snow and cold temperatures!

But I digress.... Back to our challenge of the week. Here is my card for this week.

I tried a new technique on the umbrella and boots. I tried to make some raindrops. Some of them turned out not too bad, but I think I need some practice.

I am really trying to use up some of my flat flowers, I have to bucket full of them!

Thank you for stopping by again this week, I hope to see you over at Fab'n'Funky with your creation!
Have a great week!

Boxed in!

Yup that's right I am all about being boxed in this week! LOL. This week my fabulous team mate Ciska has chosen a great theme for our challenge over at Fab'n'Funky. This week we are all boxed in! Yes we were asked to make a box. I have been wanting to make one of these match box dressers for a long time, and thought this was the perfect time to finally tackle it! I tell you though! It took me some time to get it done!

Firstly it took me forever to find the match boxes. I know I could have just as easily made my own, but I need matches anyway! So when I finally found them, I was so excited I bought six, and then emptied the matches out of the boxes and began to decorate.

Here is a little tip though, when buying match boxes for this project, buy one extra box, so that when you empty all the boxes need for the project you will still have one box with a striking pad to light the 3000+ matches that you now have to store!!!! I did not and now have no where to light my 3000+ matches! Oops!!!

Ok well back to my little project of the week! Here is my match box dresser. All papers were from Basic Grey-Lemonade line. (All purchased Here) I also used some wonderful stamps from our sponsor this week, Stamp Fairy.

Here is a close up of the drawers. I used some stuff I found in the jewelery department. (sorry I don't know the real names,,) The "handle" is one of the long pins that you would make a string of beads on, and the part behind it, is I believe a separator of some sort.

A side view. Showing off the easel card on top.

Here is a close up of the images from our sponsor.

Well I guess that is all for now. I would love to hear what you think.
Don't forget to head over to Fab'n'Funky and show us what you make with our challenge this week.

Colour Combo!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I have had a busy week. I was surprised to be able to get anything done!! I have been dealing with some not so fun health issues, and spent a good part of three days curled up in bed. Hopefully my test results will come in soon and we will know what is going on!!!!

On a happier side of things though, I did have some time to get crafty. This week Pat my lovely team mate over at Fab'n'Funky has chosen a wonderful challenge. This week we were challenged to use the colours Brown, Pink and Green!

Well I have to admit I almost forgot to use those specific colours, I was so excited to colour up my image from our sponsor Mazy Art.  She is called "Loti". I had so much fun colouring her in!!!

Here is the inside of the card. I made it with an insert for a gift card.

I was also busy making a cake for my daughter's Best Friend's Birthday! She was having a Spring/Easter themed party.

Here is what her cake looked like.

Anize was super excited, because she got to sculpt the little bunny jumping into the eggs!

Well I hope that you had fun visiting me today. And I hope I get to see your creations over at Fab'n'Funky!

Add a sentiment

Good morning everyone. This week it was Vicky's turn to choose out theme over at Fab'n'Funky, and she chose.....Add a sentiment.  I loved this theme, simply because for me it was super simple. I rarely make a card that does not have a sentiment on it!

So without further ado here is my card using one of the images from Digi Darla(Hooded raincoat kitty) our sponsor for this week. Isn't this little kitty just the cutest. Makes me long for Spring even more, seeing her all dressed up in her cute little raincoat! I went with the monochromatic scheme this week to bring out the colours in the image. I rather like the finished effect.

Isn't she adorable.

Thank you for stopping by again this week. I hope you will join us this week aver at Fab'n'funky and post your creations. We love to seeing what you come up!

Challenges:

Cute card Thursday- Spring Fever
Diva's- put some pink on it!
